In 2012 life threw Tanyalee – a life-loving, world-touring comedian – a curve ball. Five thousand miles from home, she got a life-threatening blood clot. Complications ensued. With her mother as her nurse, Tanyalee nearly lost her mind, along with her uterus.”

Canadian comedian, Tanyalee Davis, has made a welcome return to the UK to present the world premieré of her new show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

At a time in her career when she’s truly happy and in love with life, Tanyalee has presented herself as an open book to showcase her new one-hour show.  The no holds barred performance is a reflection on what happens when life throws you a major curveball.

In 2012, Tanyalee got a life-threatening blood clot – obvious complications ensued. Her one-hour show is a frank and personal journey of survival that finds the funny in one of life’s most difficult situations.

With an outrageous show title that’s bound to become one of the most memorable at this year’s Fringe Festival, Tanyalee hopes that her frank and funny account of surviving illness will encourage people to make light of life’s more stressful moments.

Despite her serious health issues in 2012, Tanyalee has bounced back to not only write a brand new Edinburgh Fringe show but has also taken on a leading role in the second series of the Channel 4 show ‘I’m Spazticus’.

The Channel 4 hidden camera series features exclusively disabled talent and sees cast members pranking members of the public in a cheeky and irreverent way.

Speaking candidly about her role in the upcoming series, which airs on 14 August, Tanyalee said

“I played a diverse group of characters; I got to really test my acting ability – It wasn’t about being disabled, or making members of the public feel uncomfortable.  We had a lot of fun and I’m really proud of this series.”

Our competition will win you two tickets to see Tanyalee’s show.
