Pagan Osborne staff launch CHAS campaign with Choccie Bakeathon!
The staff of legal, financial and property services company Pagan Osborne launched their fundraising campaign for Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) this month with a hugely successful Choccie Bakeathon.
The company, which was founded in Fife over 250 years ago, has made CHAS its partner charity for the next year and staff and colleagues across its Cupar, Anstruther, St Andrew’s and Edinburgh offices will be raising money through a constant stream of cake sales, raffles and social events.
The Choccie Bakethon challenged staff to come up with cakes and bakes using left over Easter Eggs, with prizes awarded for the best creations. At the end of the day, the event raised nearly £200 getting the campaign off to a flying start.
CHAS, which runs Rachel House and Robin House and the CHAS at Home service is the only charity in Scotland to provide vital hospice services for children and young people with life-shortening conditions, was chosen through a staff ballot. During the process it became clear that a number of Pagan Osborne staff have a personal connection to the children’s hospices in Kinross and Balloch, with some very inspiring stories coming forward.
Sue Calder for Pagan Osborne, said:- “The overwhelming feeling was that we wanted to help make the most of the short lives of these terminally ill children and support their families. Our aim is to build fundraising events into our weekly routines so that there is always something going on and we are working closely with CHAS to come up with lots of imaginative ideas.”

It’s fantastic to see how passionate the team are about fundraising to help support the children, young people and families we work with. We’ve already had the opportunity to show some of the staff around Rachel House Children’s Hospice in Kinross where they’ve seen for themselves the support their fundraising can help provide.
“It costs over £7 million each year to provide CHAS services for the families across Scotland that need them and we simply could not achieve that without the support of businesses like Pagan Osborne.”
