Jobson announces new film
We love the New Town, and it has been chosen as the site for the £100,000 Enlighten project which is backed by Edinburgh World Heritage and Essential Edinburgh, according to The Scotsman. The plans are to project lines of literary genius on the fabulous buildings in our city centre. This may remind us that Edinburgh is a UNESCO city of genius. Six writers have been commissioned.

Pekoe Tea has created a new tea for Valentine’s Day. The Pekoe Tea Valentine’s Day blend is a combination of silver needle white tea, blended with pink rosebuds, available in a special gift tin.
Edinburgh tea specialist, Pekoe Tea, also has an in-house tea bar offering a wide selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate. The tea bar has now expanded its offering to include cakes by Edinburgh bakery, Lovecrumbs, including delicious carrot cake, chocolate cake and chocolate brownies.
Pekoe Tea also offers macaroons by Patisserie Madeleine in a wide variety of flavours.
You can visit them any day but especially on Valentine’s Day at 20 Leven St and you can also look at their tea online.
But if you haven’t yet got anything planned for your Valentine then you might like this idea. Scottish Opera are staging a performance of Hansel & Gretel tonight at the Festival Theatre. The Unwrapped tour starts at 6.00p.m. but the curtain is up on the show itself at 7.15p.m. If you go down to the woods today…..

We love cycling. We love Edinburgh. And it is nice to see that the council had decided to spend so much money on cycling in Edinburgh in its budget announced and approved last week. The Times has just launched a safe cycling campaign following the horrendous injuries suffered by one of its journalists which leaves her in a coma three months after a cycling accident. And Edinburgh has come to their notice in this article here.
Maybe you love your bicycle? Well some people can get their bikes protected against theft for free today. So get off your marks and cycle down to the West End Police Station between 12 and 2p.m.

Edinburgh lover, Richard Jobson, has announced bold plans to make a film about rock ‘n roll – probably starring Scottish Hollywood star, Tilda Swinton, in the title role…according to The Herald. This is of course a subject that the former lead singer of The Skids knows a lot about.
