In light of the phone hacking investigation, The Scottish Government has published details of all meetings that the First Minister has had over the last three years with media proprietors and executives. They have also published all correspondence between the First Minister and News International which we have reproduced here for you, including the letters where the form of address is “Sir Rupert”, referring to the latter’s Papal Knight status:-

Searching for oil, or indeed any form of energy is a bit of a rollercoaster ride. It seems that Edinburgh-based Cairn Energy have hit a trough of despond in their search for the black stuff in Greenland. The Wall Street Journal reports that the company’s share price has dropped by 5% after they reported that their latest test well in Greenland had yielded no result and they were moving to another drilling location.

We quite like the list of places in Edinburgh to get over your Festival hangover published in The Guardian, although we confess that we have only been to one of the cafes on the list…..we favour those cafes which offer free wifi otherwise we cannot update the website.
