The Broughton Spurtle has a report (with lovely photographs) on the sale of the Green Goddess yesterday at Lyon and Turnbull which fetched about £5,000 for its publicity shy owner.

We depend on the internet for our very existence, and we always appreciate the times of day when our broadband speed either picks up or dips into something which seems rather prehistoric. We do remember the days of dial up modems and the patience they required. But here on the Ofcom map of broadband speed in the UK we were still rather surprised by the results for Edinburgh which show it in the top category.
