Lothian and Borders Police are making inquiries to trace a man who has gone missing from Edinburgh after his release from custody.
The Scottish Government has issued a warrant for the immediate recall to custody of 31-year-old Ivy Brown, who is subject to a non-parole licence. Mr Brown was last seen in Edinburgh’s Broughton Street at 8.15am on Saturday, July 9.
He is known to have travelled to Kings Cross Station, London, and is currently believed to be in the London area, in particular Luton, where he is thought to have lived and to have some local contacts. He is described as black, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, with short dark dreadlocks. He has a stocky build, and two distinctive gold front teeth. He has a number of tattoos including one on his left hand, which bears the statement “done one”.
He is considered to pose a potential high risk of violence to members of the public and this risk may be heightened in a deteriorating medical state. There are concerns for his well-being as he is not taking prescribed daily medication.
Members of the public are advised not to approach him but to contact their local police, or Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131.
