Lothian and Borders Police are investigating after a large-scale cannabis cultivation was discovered in Midlothian.
Officers attended at a property in Holly Bank, Mayfield at around 10am on Monday where a large number of plants were recovered.
Various items of growing apparatus were also seized and enquiries are now underway to trace those responsible for the cultivation.
The estimated value of the plants recovered is around £77,000.
A police spokesman said: ‘We continue to act on intelligence from the public to identify then shut down drug production facilities across the division and throughout the Force area.
‘Anyone with information concerning drug-related criminal activity in their local area is urged to contact police immediately.’
