There will be a Vintage Tea Dance in the newly refurbished Lauriston Hall on 19 June 2011. The event is to raise funds for the Children of Songea Trust.
The afternoon event will feature music from the 1940s and the 1950s along with afternoon tea of sandwiches and cake. The Flyright Dance Company will host the dancing and give directions to beginners. Edinburgh institution, DJ Lenny Love (Vegas DJ), will provide the music.
The Children of Songea Trust is a Scottish-based charity which works with local communities in Tanzania to help children whose lives have been affected by poverty and HIV/AIDS.
The Vintage Tea Dance is part of the Scottish Fairtrade Forum’s Countdown Campaign 2011.
Tickets are £15 and include the afternoon tea.
