Great idea this one – get along to The Meadows on Sunday 5th December to build a snowman, and raise money for charity at the same time. (Hope the snow hasn’t melted by then!)

The idea is… turn up from midday onwards on The Meadows at The Pavillion Cafe at the bottom of Middle Meadow Walk next to Melville Drive on Sunday 5th December and build your best snowmen – or any kind of snow sculpture, let your imagine go wild! The judges will make their decision by 3:30pm and the winning team will win lots of prizes and kudos! (see below)
Shelter Scotland is a fantastic charity whose tireless work in assistance of the homeless is never more needed than at this most difficult time of year.
