Owen Elding insists the Hibs players have to stick together after falling to the foot of the SPFL table yesterday.
And the youngster believes that the team are not getting the rub of the green after being denied a penalty by VAR against Falkirk.
Hibs started yesterday’s game against the Bairns on the front foot but the visitors capitalised on two mistakes to score twice through Jacob Murrell.
Elding diverted in his fourth goal in all competitions from Felix Passlack’s cross, and despite having 17 shots, Hibs were unable to earn a share of the spoils.
Hibs were awarded a penalty following a trip on Thibaut Klidjé but the referee’s decision was overturned when VAR decided the infringement had taken place outside the box.
He said: “I’m very disappointed, as we’ve lost at home again, and it’s not what we want
“We want to make this place as tough as possible for people to come, but I think we just gave ourselves too much to do and conceded sloppy goals again.
“We’ve given ourselves a massive mountain to climb and we just keep doing it.
“Everything’s going against us lately, and you see the penalty with Thibaut [Klidjé].
“It’s probably another day you get, but we’re just not getting the luck of the green lately.
“But we’ve got to stick together.
“Like we said inside at half-time, the only people that are going to change it for us are us inside the dressing room.
“We will look to bounce back next week, and we’ve got some massive games coming up.”
The Republic of Ireland international also stressed the importance of everyone taking accountability for another below-par display.
He added: “I think we had control of most of the game, but we didn’t really do much with it.
“The goal came at a good time for us, I think, just going into half-time.
“I think it’s just that final ball again, and I think once it clicks, we’re going to be good.
“Just at the moment, we’re not getting the luck of the minute. But as I said, we’ve just got to stick together and keep going.
“We just keep sticking together.
“We know the quality that’s inside the dressing room, and we’re the only ones that are going to be able to change that.
“No one’s going to do it for us, so the lads have got to take responsibility now, and we’ve got to turn it around ourselves.
“It’s always a tough game, but we’ve got massive games coming up starting with Celtic, so we’ve got to train well this week and hopefully get the result we need next week.”
