Hibs stand-in captain Felix Passlack believes it will take time under the new manager, but he is confident the players can turn their recent form around.
Hibs came away empty-handed after Daniel Bennie’s first-half strike proved decisive.
After the game a section of the supporters clashed with stewards and police and made their frustration known to the players.
Speaking to Hibs TV, he said, “We have to take our chances, especially in the first half.
“We had a couple of good chances, and then after we conceded, we tried everything, especially in the second half.
“We were going further forward, attacking the box, but we just have to take our chances, I think.
“Even after that, we stuck to our plan and still kept playing forward.
“I think the defensive shape was really good, especially in the first half, but then we conceded, and then we lost a bit of structure, especially with the ball.
“It’s been the same as in the recent weeks.
‘It’s easy to say, but especially in games like this, if we go 1-0 up, then we have a different game, have a wee bit more control over the game and also a wee bit more space in behind.
‘You cannot change everything in a couple of weeks. It will take some time, but we’re really positive that we will turn this around.”
With over 2,500 supporters in the away end, Passlack also thanked the travelling support.
He added: It’s a big honour for me to be a captain, especially in front of our away fans.
“Like you said, over 2,000 away fans again, which is normally every away game.
“It makes us proud, and we can feel the support also during the game on the pitch.”
