Voxblock, the screen-free, wifi-free audiobook player for children, will be sold at the Waterstones shop on the Edinburgh Book Festival site from 15 August 2026.
The Edinburgh-based company launched Voxblock at the same festival in 2022. The festival stocking deal brings Voxblock back to its starting point, this time selling through Waterstones rather than from its own stand.
The Waterstones festival shop will stock Voxblock alongside audiobook titles from authors appearing at this year’s events, including Julia Donaldson, A.F. Steadman, Anna James, Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara and Louie Stowell. Other Waterstones stores are expected to stock Voxblock following the festival.
Rebecca Lundgren, Co-founder of Voxblock, said: “There is something quite special about coming back to the festival where Voxblock began. We started here in 2022 with an idea and a mission to improve children’s literacy through audio. Four years on, we are on Waterstones’ shelves at the same event, a partnership that means a great deal to us. Audio matters for how children fall in love with stories, and having Waterstones believe in that alongside us means the world.”
