Jordan Jenkins has been given the go-ahead to resume racing after the Berwick Bandits missed four meetings through injury.
He was anxiously waiting for the results of an MRI scan following a series of heavy crashes during the British Championship semi-final at Leicester.
The 24-year-old is straight back on the bike, guesting for Poole Pirates in the Cab Direct Championship taking the place of Fraser Bowes when they entertain Edinburgh Monarchs on Wednesday before facing the Pirates at Berwick on Saturday.
Jeknins (pictured by Keith Hamblin) said: “After what seemed like the longest week waiting for results, they came back showing that everything is stable, although it does show previous injuries to my back and all the old breaks.
“I’m gutted to have missed out on a busy weekend for the Bandits, but it was a risk I couldn’t take until I knew the extent of the injuries.”
Berwick are also monitoring the fitness of reserve Jack Smith who suffered a hip injury in Saturday’s win over Workington Comets before confirming their team to face Pirates. Tapes-up 7pm on Saturday.
