Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace 88-year-old Dorothyea Chirnside reported missing in Edinburgh.
She was seen on High Street, Kirkliston at 10.30am this morning Monday, 17 August, 2026.
Enquiries so far have established she was at the St James Centre at around 4.15pm.
She is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with shoulder length white/blonde hair.
When last seen, she was wearing a white suit jacket, white trousers, and a beige wicker hat with a black stripe.
Sergeant Lisa MacFarlane said: “Concerns for Dorothyea are growing and we are keen to trace her as soon as possible.
“We’d ask anyone who may have seen her, or who has any information on where she may be, to come forward.”
