Football returns to Easter Road against Brøndby IF next weekend, and to mark the occasion and Hibs have announced that supporters can enjoy the brand-new ‘Hibs Social’, which is being trialled in the Pat Stanton Stand to enjoy pre-game.
The Hibs Social, which will be situated on the south side of the Pat Stanton Stand concourse, aims to build the atmosphere ahead of each game, and has space for up to 500 fans and is completely free to attend.
Enhanced food and drink options will be available at the fully licenced kiosk, including a selection of beers, cider and prosecco from the bar situated inside the concourse.
From 10.30am until 12.30pm against Brøndby, Hibees who have a ticket in the Pat Stanton Stand can claim a free pass into The Hibs Social on a first come, first served basis, so supporters are encouraged to come to the Pat Stanton Stand early and experience the launch of this brand-new initiative.
Hibs clash with Thomas Nørgaard’s side will be almost a decade to the day from the previous meeting in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers in July 2016.
Indeed, Hibs reward for winning the Scottish Cup in 2016 was a meeting with Brøndby in the second qualifying round.
Brøndby left Easter Road with a 1-0 victory following Kamil Wilczec’s strike after just 17 seconds, and one week later, in the return leg at Brøndby Stadium, current Head Coach David Gray found an equaliser in Copenhagen to take the second leg to a penalty shootout, which Hibs lost 5-3.
