LIDL is launching a limited-edition Strawberry Tart ‘Puddle’ Doughnut in Edinburgh this week.
The sweet treat will arrive in stores on Thursday priced at £1.29.
It features a fluffy ring doughnut topped with strawberry icing, a cream-filled centre and a digestive biscuit crumb.
Lidl said the new addition is inspired by a classic strawberry tart and combines soft, smooth and crunchy textures.
The doughnut will be available for four weeks, while stocks last.
Shoppers in Edinburgh will be able to find it in stores including Nicolson Street, Logie Green Road and Dalry Road.
It is the latest in Lidl’s bakery “Special Guest” range, following previous limited-edition products including its Caramelised Biscuit Empire doughnut, Snownut and Freeway Iron Brew Muffin.
