Police in West Lothian have released a photograph of a motorbike that was stolen last week.
The theft took place between 0300am and 0620am hours on Tuesday 16th June 2026 at Nigel Rise, Livingston.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting the crime report number CR/0263534/26.
Officers have also issued advice for anyone purchasing motorbikes to be aware of several signs of that it may be stolen.
– They want cash only and refuse bank transfer.
– The price is far below market value.
– They can’t answer basic questions about the bike’s history.
– They claim they’re”selling it for a friend” or give inconsistent stories.
– They want to meet in an unusual location.
– They pressure you to buy immediately or you’ll miss out on a bargain.
– No record of service history.
– If they refuse to show proof of ID or ownership.
Make sure check serial numbers and documentation matches and if you see any signs of these being tampered with, contact the Police.
