The council’s travel team has published a list of the latest roadworks and street closures in Edinburgh during the next week.

Every area of the city is included in the list below in alphabetical order of council wards.

A crew from BT will be working at the junction of Queen Street and Hanover Street from Saturday into Sunday 3-4 October, to repair a manhole. There will be 4-way temporary traffic lights.

There is a march in Edinburgh on the Royal Mile on 3 October and rolling road closures will be in place from Johnston Terrace to Canongate at Horse Wynd from 2.30pm onwards.

From Monday there will be works on Commercial Street at Citadel Place with 3-way temporary traffic lights and temporary bus stops.

And again from Monday 5 October near Balgreen Road there are works to resurface the roads, renew guardrails, improve drainage and also the roundabout.

Phase 1: Pansy Walk to Balgreen nursery – temporary traffic lights at Stevenson Drive, nightshift road closure at Whitson Road (8 weeks estimated).
Phase 2: Balgreen nursery to and including Stevenson Road roundabout – temporary traffic lights and side road closures (7 weeks estimated).
Phase 3: Stevenson Road to Gorgie Road – road closed, final details TBC
