Hibs youngster Jacob MacIntyre has signed a new three-year contract with the Club, extending his stay at Easter Road until the summer of 2029.
MacIntyre has grown up at the Club, having been associated with Hibs since the age of six, and has subsequently risen through the ranks to make his first-team debut in March 2024.
At just 20, he has already amassed 64 appearances in senior football, having enjoyed fruitful loan spells with Kelty Hearts and Arbroath.
After he enjoyed a strong season in Scottish League One in 2024/25 – playing 27 times for Kelty Hearts, scoring three times and helping guide the Maroon Machine to a sixth-place finish – MacIntyre joined Scottish Championship side Arbroath in 2025/26.
Again, the 20-year-old quickly impressed in midfield and went on to have 36 appearances in total while scoring three goals and providing three assists across the 2025/26 campaign.
Those loan experiences will have undoubtedly been a great learning opportunity for the aspiring Scotland youth international, and he will now hope to push for a place in Head Coach David Gray’s First Team squad in 2026/27.

“We’ve all seen a big improvement in his development while he trained with the First Team group, while on loan last season. He is a very coachable player with fantastic attributes, and he has been brilliant to work with.
