Shamrock Rovers are the most successful club in the Republic of Ireland.
With a record 22 League of Ireland titles, including four in a row between 2020 and 2023, and a record 26 FAI Cups, the Hoops have also supplied more players to the Republic of Ireland national football team than any other club.
Rovers are the League of Ireland’s reigning champions, and currently sit seven points clear at the summit of the 2026 season’s table, and have fallen to defeat only once in their last six league matches.
They boast the joint-most goals scored (38) and the second-least goals conceded (21) with a record of 14 wins, five draws and five losses, and are sure to provide a stern test for David Gray’s side at Tallaght Stadium.
The 30 Hibs players who travelled as part of the week-long training camp in County Kildare could all be involved.
Gray has included several members of the Academy in his pre-season squad, with Joseph McGrath, Lewis Gillie, Logan Jimenez, Zach Bruce and Josh McDonald.
Grant Hanley will be missing from the squad, with the Scotland international due to join up with his teammates later on, having represented Scotland at this summer’s FIFA World Cup in the United States.
Rocky Bushiri has also not travelled, with the defender missing out due to injury.
