An investigation is underway after a 59-year-old man was found dead in Edinburgh city centre on Sunday evening.
Emergency services were called to Hunter Square around 10.35pm on Sunday June 14.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his family have been informed.
Police are treating the death as unexplained.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.35pm on Sunday, 14 June, we received a report of death in the Hunter Square area of Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and a 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are aware.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
