The acclaimed Edinburgh showbiz review site MustSeeTheatre.com has launched the first episode in a series of Theatre Pod podcasts, which will cover all aspects of the theatre world.
The first of these, Theatre Pod with Líam Rudden, an occasional title in which award-winning playwright and director Líam Rudden interviews the creatives who make theatre great, is now live on MustSeeTheatre.com featuring comedian, quiz show host, actor, Coronation Street favourite and musical theatre star, Les Dennis.
Filmed live on the stage of the Edinburgh Playhouse, Les shares his love of theatre, his Liverpool school days with a star studded cast of pals who all went on to become well known in their own right – including Hellraiser’s Pinhead, as well as reflecting on his own five decades entertaining the nation.
Líam Rudden said: “I first met Les when I interviewed him ahead of his Edinburgh Fringe show, Certified Male, back in 2007 and our paths have crossed many times since. So when I heard he had been cast in Waitress and would be visiting the Edinburgh Playhouse, there was little doubt who I’d ask to launch Theatre Pod. So, sit back, listen, or watch if you prefer, after all, it is shot in the majestic Edinburgh Playhouse, and enjoy – and if you do enjoy, please share.”
