The Willowbrae Bowling Club are running a “Try Bowls Weekend” on 2- 3 May aimed at encouraging people of all ages and abilities to come along, have a go, and discover what lawn bowls is all about.
It’s a relaxed, friendly event with free taster sessions, equipment provided, and members on hand to offer guidance.
As a long-standing part of the local community, the Willowbrae club are always keen to welcome new faces and highlight the social and health benefits of the sport.
The season is now up and running with club president Douglas Lovatt, pictured, delivering the first jack of the Opening Day event.
Tied in with the first day of the “Try Bowls” weekend will be the club’s annual Spring Fair.
