Police are appealing following a serious crash on the B6372 at Newlanderigg near Gorebridge in Midlothian.

The incident happened around 7.10am on Thursday, 5 February, and involved the rider of a yellow Honda GLR 125 motorbike and a parked white Ford Transit 350 tipper.

Emergency services attended and the rider, a 38-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where his condition is described as serious but stable.

The road was closed for crash investigation work and re-opened around 11.30am.

Sergeant Barry Sommerville said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.

“We are also asking drivers in the area around the time of the crash to check any dash-cam they have to see if something has been captured that could help with our investigation.”
