Detectives in Dalkeith are appealing for information following a serious assault in Wallyford.
A 44-year-old man was assaulted by a group of youths between 8.50pm and 9.20pm on Saturday, 31 January, 2026 at a car park between Masons Way and Windlass Gardens.
He was taken to St Johns Hospital, Livingston for treatment.
Detective Constable Kirsty Downie of CID said: “This was a traumatic incident for the victim.
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are keen to trace the group of youths, who had a bike with them.
“Anyone who has private CCTV, doorbell footage from the area is asked to get in touch. I would also appeal to motorists who have dash-cam, you may have captured something that can assist our enquiries.”
