Detectives are continuing their enquiries and appealing for information after a housebreaking in Dunbar on Friday, 23 January, 2026.
Around 7pm, officers were called to a report that a house in Reid Avenue had been broken into. The five male suspects who had their faces covered, made off in a white Audi A4.
Officers discovered that a quantity of jewellery and a sum of cash had been stolen from within the house.
Detective Constable Ishbel Inglis said: “Since this was reported, we have been carrying out enquiries to identify the five men and trace the car involved. It was using cloned registration plates, beginning YM11.
“If you saw this vehicle being driven in and around the Dunbar area or have any detail on this car or its whereabouts, please contact us.
“We are asking anyone who has any information regarding this crime, who hasn’t yet spoken to police to telephone 101, quoting reference number 2914 of 23 January, 2026. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
