Hibs midfielder Junior Hoilett believes the squad are full of confidence ahead of this weekend’s game against Motherwell at Easter Road.
Hibs go into the match unbeaten in four league games, winning the last three, and know that a win on Saturday can see them leapfrog the Well into fourth place.
When speaking ahead of this weekend’s outing, the Canada international discussed the mood among the players in the dressing room.
“When you have a nine-point week with the way we played and the results we got, it gives the boys confidence.
“We’ve been playing well and sometimes been unlucky with results, so now to get three wins in a row, it’s given us real confidence going into this weekend’s game.
“That big win at home against Hearts really gave us that confidence and momentum going into the next two games.
“We will keep pushing, keep getting better and trying to get results.”
It’s been extremely competitive in the William Hill Premiership this season, and Motherwell have earned a number of plaudits for their performances and style of football.
They currently sit two points ahead of us in the league table, and Hoilett expects it to be a good game at Easter Road.
“There’s a lot of good teams in this league and they’re all putting in good performances. We have to focus on ourselves and take each game as it comes; that’s the way to build. We are constantly looking at the next game and catching the team in front of us.
“You can see that Motherwell have picked up some good results, and they’ve been in decent form themselves. We know it’ll be a battle. We’re in a good place so we know it’ll be a good fight this weekend.
“We have to focus on ourselves and how we can hurt them. We have to worry about what we can do.”
