Hibs head coach Gray was delighted with his team’s showing against Livingston last weekend and is now aiming to build on that result as the team strive to secure back-to-back league wins.
Hibs now prepare to face Jimmy Thelin’s Aberdeen at Pittodrie and Gray is looking forward to the challenge.
The Dons have been in fine form in the league, beating Dundee and St Mirren in recent weeks but lost 6-0 to AEK Athens in midweek.
Speaking ahead of the game Gray said: “I’m really pleased with the result and performance against Livingston.
“It’s something to build on. Everything I spoke about before the game, I certainly got in the game. And then training has been positive because of that.
“We spoke about the opportunity to reset and at this stage now, understanding what’s required and what we needed to do. We needed to start winning games of football. I’m delighted we managed to do that with Livingston. It was a big result, big performance.
“The players can take a lot of confidence from that. And we can all look forward to a real tough game up at Aberdeen, but a really good game to look forward to.
“Given our performance levels, we haven’t always gotten the results that we maybe deserve. But I think at the same time, internally, we’ve been working hard on certain things that we think are starting to come and starting to click.
“Both teams are going into it in a really good place, so it’s got all the makings of a really good game, it’s certainly one that we’re looking forward to.”
