Chris Cadden is looking forward to another big night at Easter Road tonight as Hibs host Rangers under the lights at Easter Road.
Hibs go into the match on a good run of form with back-to-back wins in their last two William Hill Premiership matches sweeping aside Livingston at Easter Road before beating Aberdeen 2-1 at Pittodrie last time out.
And Cadden is hoping the team can keep the momentum moving in the right direction.
But he is expecting another tough challenge as Rangers visit Easter Road, off the back of their first win – beating Kilmarnock 3-1 – under new Head Coach Danny Röhl.
He told Hibs TV: “Rangers are a good side and we know they will always have good players. We need to be at the top of our game to get a result.
“With a new manager, you expect there to be a bit of a reaction and a bounce from them and everything that comes with a new manager. But we know the quality that we have in the dressing room and it is up to us to show that tomorrow.
“We just need to concentrate on ourselves and focus on the next game. We have targets that we set internally which we always set at the start of the season. We will go and try and win every game that we possibly can – that is the mindset that the Gaffer has installed in is.”
The 29-year-old is raring to go ahead of the match and admits there is a special ‘big game’ feel to this one.
“We’re at Easter Road, under the lights and on the TV – all these things contribute to that big game feel. Hibs v Rangers is always a big game, it always will be and the atmosphere will be electric on Wednesday night.
“When you do get results in these games, the feeling afterwards is brilliant. We are all looking forward to it – especially in front of our home fans who we know will get right behind us.
“We knew that between the two international breaks (October and November) it was going to be an important period and we’ve started that well. We’ve got a big game tomorrow, performances are one thing but it is all about results and getting three points on the board.”
