Hearts’ Euro schedule has forced fixture changes in the William Hill Premiership, including the Edinburgh Derby.
The first one to be affected is v Aberdeen and that has been pushed back to Sunday, October 6 (3pm) with the clash at Easter Road with Hibs now on Sunday, October 27. No time has been agreed yet.
Hearts travel to Ibrox on Sunday, November 10, kick-off to be arranged, and the Jambos host Aberdeen on Sunday, December 1. No kick-off time has been confirmed.
Sunday, December 15 is now scheduled for Hearts’ trip to Kilmarnock, no kick-off time has been advertised, and Sunday, December 22 is the date for Hearts’ home joust with St Johnston. Again no kick-off time has been advertised.
The games without a kick-off time are potential for broadcast, hence the delay.
Meanwhile, Hearts have confirmed that Graeme Jones has joined the club as Sporting Director. He previously worked as the Scottish Football Association’s Performance Director.
Hearts confirm that Jones will oversee all aspects of the club’s football department, leading on performance, recruitment, academy and supporting the men’s and women’s team football matters.
A Jambos statement said: “He is vastly experienced and hugely popular within the Scotland camp. Graeme will bring his skill sets to Tynecastle Park to spearhead the Jambos’ footballing operation.”
Andrew McKinlay, Hearts’ chief executive officer, said the Men in Maroon were recruiting a “top operator” and he told the club’s website that Jones has “huge experience” in the game across many different functions. He added: “His reputation within the Scottish FA is peerless.”
