Hearts fans have been advised to wait before making any travel plans for the club’s entry into Europe.

Their opponents will either be Czech Republic side Viktoria Pizen or Ukraine combine Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in the Europa League play-off round.

A slot in the Europa League is at stake and the play-off round is scheduled for August 22 and August 29 with the Jambos due to play the away leg first.

Steven Naismith, Hearts, head coach, said that Pizen have European experience and have recently played in the Champions League while Kryvbas are less well known.

He added: “We will do all we can to research them and put a game plan together.

“We’ll research their style, what they like to do and their individual players. Every game is different.”

Naismith’s men are in Europe for a third year running and he hopes to draw on previous experience.

He assured fans: “Everyone is up for the European games.”

A Hearts spokesman said: “Until match details are confirmed we strongly encourage supporters not to make any travel plans. The club will confirm match details as soon as they are communicated to us by UEFA.”
