Easy Living Homes is shortlisted in two categories in The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024, and is celebrating the nominations achieved with their first entry.

It is shortlisted in Best Regeneration Project (Residential) for its now fully sold -Forth Park Residences development in Kirkcaldy. This is a development which breathed new life into the dilapidated B listed Mansion House at Forth Park Maternity Hospital. The developer created a luxury apartment development in the Mansion House, with Mews Homes, and a range of contemporary villas and bungalows. Easy Living Homes is also shortlisted in the Development of the Year category, for its Castle Gait development in East Wemyss.

Enjoying a picturesque rural setting, Castle Gait offers a wide mix of new build detached bungalows and villas. It has been a popular development with house buyers from all over Fife and beyond, and only a few properties out of 100 plots are currently available for sale.

Easy Living Homes CEO, Keith Davidson. said: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved not one, but two, prestigious shortlisting’s in our first very time of entering The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024.

“We were confident that we had a very strong offering across both of these developments, as they certainly have the attention to detail, the finishing, and the sustainable innovations, that the industry are looking to commend at the moment,” added Keith. “It was my pleasure to show the judges around the developments in July. We found them extremely engaging and well informed on what these awards are looking to promote.

“It’s only when you pit your developments up against the best of the best, and against many housebuilders that are significantly larger than us, in terms of numbers of properties built each year, that you find out if you are achieving a real level of excellence.”

Keith said he felt that entering the awards, which year on year attract a first-class field, had already been an extremely worthwhile process for Easy Living Homes as a growing brand. He said: “Obviously we would love to win. Both Castle Gait and Forth Park Residences really stand out from the crowd in what we have achieved there. But even if we don’t on this occasion, attending the Awards Night will be a fantastic networking experience, plus a chance for key members of our hard-working team to enjoy a night out together.”

Prices at Castle Gait, East Wemyss are from £309,000 for the final three bedroom detached Taylor bungalow, to £349,000 for the four bedroom detached Barony villa, complete with garage and driveway.

Easy Living Homes has its own in-house technical team who excel in designing the company’s extensive portfolio of homes, particularly its bungalows.

Kings Meadow at Coaltown of Balgonie is currently ticking all the “green” boxes as one of the first entirely gas free modern developments in Scotland, served instead by an energy efficient ambient ground source heat energy system.

Current prices at this development of 80 properties, are from £199,000 for the two bedroom semidetached Nina bungalow, to £465,000 for the five bedroom detached Hunter villa, a brand new house type which was recently added to the Easy Living Homes portfolio.
