Leith Collective starts free uniform exchange on Saturday

Sara Thomson, founder of local CIC, The Leith Collective has just returned from a visit to 10 Downing Street and is more determined than ever to help a generation of ‘cut-back kids’.

The kids may be counting down the days until school’s out for summer, but many parents are worried about making their money stretch in the coming months. Whether it’s the cost of essential childcare or activities to keep the kids entertained, many are concerned they just won’t have enough to pay for school uniforms when the new academic year finally rolls around in August, and are having to make cut-backs in response.

And so, to help ease the pressure, The Leith Collective is launching its free school uniform exchange on Saturday 1st June.
