For the first time in 117 years the Caley was forced to close its doors to guests just like all the other hotels in Scotland.

Now on 15 July 2020, the iconic Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian will reopen its doors to welcome back guests to enjoy a relaxing stay, a long awaited family reunion or a joyous celebration with friends.

As well as an unforgettable stay with great views of Edinburgh Castle, high service standards and complimentary on-site parking, guests can make the most of their stay with a choice from a wide selection of tailor-made luxury experiences from Champagne picnics and golf excursions to private boat trips and helicopter tours.

Experiences can be created to suit any desire from simple relaxation to action-packed adventure.

Dale MacPhee, General Manager at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, said: “We are delighted to be reopening on 15th July and thrilled to be able to welcome back many returning and new guests. I have been truly humbled by the response from our past guests with the numerous cards and letters of well-wishing and desire to return. In the 117 years that our hotel has been open, we have never closed and so the reopening of our doors will be a momentous day!”

The health and wellbeing of guests and team members remains the highest priority of Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh.

The hotel will open with Hilton CleanStay; a new industry-defining standard of cleanliness and disinfection designed for Hilton by RB, makers of Lysol® & Dettol® in conjunction with the world famous Mayo Clinic. Guests who desire a contactless arrival and departure experience can check-in, choose their room, unlock their door and check-out with their mobile devices through the free Hilton Honors mobile app.

Reservations are officially now open and to make a booking guests can call 0131 222 8888, email Caledonian.reservations@waldorfastoria.com or visit www.waldorfastoriaedinburgh.com.
