Hibs will host a behind-closed doors match against Premiership rivals St Mirren at the club’s training centre at East Mains on Saturday after the Scottish Government relaxed Covid-19 restrictions today.
The St Mirren players and staff will travel to the venue in their own cars, and supporters will be barred from entry.
The game will be ideal preparation for both teams ahead of the league campaign which is due to start on Saturday 1st August.
Kilmarnock will visit Easter Road that day and at the moment it looks as though no fans will be allowed inside the stadium although the club are currently giving fans the chance to have a cardboard cut out of themselves in the East Stand.
Head Coach Jack Ross has yet to add to his squad after losing a number of players whose contracts have expired including Steven Whittaker Adam Bogdan and Vykintas Slivka whilst loan signings Marc McNulty, Stephane Omeonga and Greg Docherty have all returned to their parent clubs.
A number of players have been linked to Hibs in recent weeks including Dunfermline’s prolific striker Kevin Nisbet as well as former St Johnstone winger Drey Wright who has been training with the club and former Hamilton midfielder Alex Gogic.
A number of youngster have been training with the first team and could be given the chance to impress on Saturday.
