Hibs have provided an update to supporters looking forward to getting their hands on the club’s fastest-selling kit of all time.
The shipment from Macron’s base in Italy has been picked up by the printers, who have been working around the clock to apply the ‘Thank You NHS’ logo that captured the imagination of fans.
The words of thanks will adorn the new home shirts, and fans will be asked to pay the sum of £5 to have the transfer applied, with all profits being donated to local NHS charity, Edinburgh & Lothians Health Foundation.
The club expect to take delivery of the pre-ordered kits in the week commencing July 27, when their Clubstore team will begin work on the significant task of dividing the items between those who have opted for an Easter Road pick-up and those who requested deliveries.
Any further updates will be posted on the Hibernian FC website bit if fans have any queries for the Clubstore staff, they should email info@hiberniandirect.co.uk.
A statement on the website reads: “Thank you for your patience and understanding during what has obviously been an unprecedented period for us all.
“We look forward to seeing you all show off your colours with pride.”
The club is also planning further fundraising throughout the season and expects to hand over a six-figure donation to the NHS charity by the end of the season. In addition, the club is donating a minimum of 100 tickets to NHS staff for all of home matches, with fans being invited to participate in fundraising to help fund more.
