Fife Flyers slipped to their 11th straight defeat when they were beaten 5-2 at Kirkcaldy by high-flying Cardiff Devils.

The home side, who topped the Elite League earlier this season, went 2-0 down after nine minutes but Carlo Finucci and former Edinburgh Capitals star Mike Cazzola (pictured) levelled after 24 minutes before Fife suffered a third-period slump.

Three goals hit their net in 15 minutes from Joey Haddad, Gleason Fournier and Mike McNamee to end the contest and increase the pressure on coach Todd Dutiaume.

Glasgow Clan, beaten 6-3 at Dundee Stars on Friday, suffered their fifth straight defeat when they went down 5-2 at Belfast Giants.

The Scots were 3-0 behind after 20 minutes but battled back to 3-2 after 41 minutes thanks to goals from Nolan LaPorte and Matthew Haywood.

But Elgin Pearce and Paul Swindlehurst netted in three, third period minutes to end any hopes of a comeback.

Elite League: Fife Flyers 2, Cardiff Devils 5; Belfast Giants 5, Glasgow Clan 2.
