Three TSB branches will be closing next year, Clerk Street (15 July 2020), Morningside (16 September 2020) and Portobello (27 May 2020).
The closures are part of a plan by new chief executive Debbie Crosbie to make £100m of cost cuts by 2022.
TSB have advised that branches remain at Hanover Street, Gorgie and Musselburgh for customers who want to access the bank.
There has been a 17% decrease in the number of overall transactions in TSB branches, 2.5 million of their customers now choose to bank online, with over 1 million accessing their account on our mobile app.
Miles Briggs, Scottish Conservative MSP for Lothians, said: “It is very disappointing for staff and customers in Newington, Morningside and Portobello that these branches are closing next year.
“Access to cash and banking facilities is the preferred way of banking for many people and the closures will limit access for lots of people in Edinburgh.”
