The 15th World Hickory Open (WHO) will be held at several golf courses in East Lothian next week.

Current entries indicate another record year and the event will tee off on October 20 at Dunbar, Kilspindie and Gullane 2 and 3 with over 120 players.

Around 20 professionals are in the field plus amateurs from nations including the UK, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, Japan, South Africa and the USA.

Swede Johan Moberg won in the closest hickory shoot out for almost a century as ten players were within three shots 12 months ago.

Other categories being contested include the junior title, the World Hickory Senior title (50 and over) and the title of the Honourable World Hickory Champion for those 70 and over.
