Lothian MSP Gordon Lindhurst calls on people to volunteer at Cancer Research UK’s Corstorphine Superstore.

I visited the superstore recently where I met with their dedicated staff and volunteers working to support Cancer Research UK’s vital work.

During my visit, I was told about the need for volunteers to ensure fundraising efforts can continue, with even a couple of hours per week going a long way to helping out.

I saw first-hand how staff and volunteers support the work the charity do every day.

The superstore are in need of volunteers to help ensure that vital fundraising efforts which helped to raise £250,000 last year at the store can continue.

I would encourage everyone who is able to give volunteering a go, even if it is just for a couple of hours a week.

The volunteering experience itself is hugely rewarding and can have many benefits for volunteers themselves.”

You can find out more about the volunteering opportunities by popping into the store at the Corstorphine Retail Park or applying online https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/get-involved/find-a-shop/corstorphine-superstore
