As part of the Fringe ”From Shanghai with Love” consists of a runway show and an exhibition showcasing the contemporary and futuristic Shanghai-style Qipao.
The event takes place on 23 24 August 2019 bringing silk garments from China’s famous Silk Road combined with cutting-edge modern and futuristic fashion technology to the stunning Playfair Library.
This is the third time the extremely popular Qipao fashion show and exhibition return to Edinburgh.
Top young Chinese fashion designers will explore the intersection of femininity and technology. Using the latest high-tech techniques, the collection includes amazing luminous, shape-changing and 3D printing designs.
