An elderly woman has been taken to hospital following a fire in a ground floor flat during the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Northfield Farm Avenue at 2.53am.
Two fire engines attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said that an elderly woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Her condition is not known at this time.
