Dutch full-back Miquel Nelom has held talks with Hibs who hope to conclude a deal within the next few days

The 27-year-old former Feyenoord left-back is a free agent after leaving Dick Advocate’s Rotterdam club during the summer.

The twice capped Dutch international has been linked with moves to Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers in the last few month.

Nelom started his career with Excelsior before joining Feyenoord in 2011.

He spent seven years at De Kuip, playing 127 times and scoring two goals.

He made his full international debut in 2013, playing against Indonesia and China.

Lewis Stevenson is currently the only senior left back at the club although Paul Hanlon can play there if required whilst Fraser Mackie plays in that position for the Development team.
