Elite League: Dundee Stars 5, Edinburgh Capitals 4; Braehead Clan 3, Fife Flyers 2

Dundee Stars came back from 3-1 down to beat bottom club Edinburgh Capitals 5-4 on Tayside.

Chris Lawrence fired Stars ahead on the power play after 12 minutes but Capitals claimed three unanswered strikes between the 13th and 27th minutes through Harry Ferguson and a double from Sergei Banashkov to lead.

Dundee roared back with four unanswered goals between the 37th and 54th minutes.

Player/coach Omar Pacha kick-started the goal blitz after 37 minutes and Gabriel Levesque levelled after 43 minutes.

Brian Hart fired the home side ahead 4-3 after 51 minutes and Cody Carlson made it 5-3 three minutes later.

Konstantin Teslyukevich pulled one back unassisted for the visitors with less than two minutes left but it was not enough to salvage a point.

In Glasgow, former Dundee Stars defenceman Felix-Antoine Poulin (cor) claimed the game-winner as Braehead Clan last night (SAT) battled back from 2-1 down to edge arch Scottish rivals Fife Flyers 3-2.

It was Clan’s first win over the Kirkcaldy club this season and the sides blanked the first period.

Christoffer Bjorklund opened the scoring after 30 minutes but Carlo Finucci levelled for Fife five minutes later.

Danick Gauthier put Fife ahead 2-1 after 42 minutes but Adam Brace 61 seconds later and then Poulin after 48 minutes sealed the points.
