Elite League: Dundee Stars 4, Edinburgh Capitals 2

Former Fife Flyers star Justin Fox claimed a glory treble as Dundee Stars increased the agony for bottom club Edinburgh Capitals.

The 30-year-old Canadian, who spent two seasons at Kirkcaldy, caught Capitals cold when he opened the scoring for the home side after only 54 seconds.

Pavel Vorobyev levelled for the visitors six minutes later but Stars then hit the Murrayfield men with a double whammy.

Fox netted his second on the power play after eight minutes and Brian Hart made it 3-1 seven minutes later.

The sides blanked the middle session Michael Ireland pulled one back for Capitals with less than three minutes remaining.

But Fox finished off Capitals with a goal 1min 53sec from time with in-form Gabriel Levesque collecting his second assist of the night.
