A man has been charged with a number of road traffic offences after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle during a police chase in Livingston on 28 August.

The  54-year-old pedestrian, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Detective Inspector Paul Batten said: “A thorough investigation was launched following this incident and a man has now been charged with a number of road traffic offences.

“I want to extend my sincere thanks the local community for their support during our enquiries.”
