SGB Championship: Sheffield Tigers 51, Berwick Bandits 42

Guest Richard Lawson top scored but Berwick Bandits skidded to another defeat.

The Glasgow Tigers racer powered to 14 points as the Borders side, who prop up the Championship table, lost 51-42 at Sheffield Tigers.

Ex-Glasgow rider Josh Grajczonek top scored for the home side with 14 points and Lasse Bjerre collected 13.

Earlier, Bandits were only eight points adrift after eight races but back-to-back 5-1 scorelines for the home side in the next two races ended the contest.

Lawson and Joe Jacobs combed for an 8-1 win in Heat 11 on a tactical ride to cut the scoreline to 39-30 and Sheffield held on to take the points.
