Edinburgh Capitals slim play-off hopes dipped after Sunday’s Elite League results.

The Murrayfield men have a six point gap to make up on Midlands strugglers Coventry Blaze who are now ninth.

Dundee Stars have now slipped into eighth position and currently occupy the final play-off qualifying position.

Stars have 36 points from 43 fixtures while Coventry have 35 from 44 starts.
Capitals have 29 points from 40 games and they face two crunch fixtures this week.

Michal Dobron takes his squad to Coventry on Tuesday (face-off 7.30pm) and they are on a high after whipping much-decorated Nottingham Panthers 5-1 at The SkyDome in Coventry on Sunday.

Capitals, who had a weekend off, visit third-placed Sheffield Steelers on Wednesday (7.30pm, Ice Sheffield).

Then, Dobron’s squad visit Manchester Storm, who are seventh, on Saturday (7pm) and host league pace-setters Cardiff Devils on Sunday (6.30pm).
