A search warrant was executed at a flat in Saughton Mains Gardens today and approximately 500g of herbal cannabis, which has an estimated value of Ā£6250, was recovered from inside.

A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with this and is due to appear in court at a later date.

Sergeant Alison Ross from Wester Hailes Police Station said: “Thanks to information received from the public, local officers have been able to remove these illegal drugs from the community.

“I’d encourage anyone with concerns about drug misuse to contact us, as we’ll act on all the information we receive.”
