A creep who sexually assaulted a teenage girl on board a bus has been placed on the sex offenders register.
Muddasier Hussain, 39, sat on the seat next to the victim on an almost empty Lothian bus and began stroking the inside of her thigh before fleeing the vehicle soon after.
The terrified child contacted her mother who reported the matter to the police and officers used CCTV from the bus to identify the attacker in December 2024.
Hussain also carried out a second sexual assault on a woman just four months later when he touched her on the breast and genitals over her clothing outside a store in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian.

The woman’s boyfriend raced to the scene after she had called him and he managed to record the pervert on his mobile phone before handing the footage over to police.
Hussain, of Oldham, Lancashire, was arrested and charged, and pleaded guilty to both sex attacks when he appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
Fiscal depute Bruce McCrossan said the first incident took place on board a number 3 Lothian bus between Dalkeith in Midlothian and the capital’s Newington at around 6:45am on 2 December 2024.
The court heard the teenager was sitting downstairs on her own when Hussain got on and chose to sit next to her despite many seats being unoccupied.
Mr McCrossan said Hussain soon began “shuffling in his seat” and moved closer to the girl before running his fingers up the inside of her inner thigh.
He then got off the bus and the sex assault was reported to the police.
The court heard Hussain went on to attack a second victim outside a shop in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, at around 6:50pm on 5 April last year.
The fiscal depute said the creep had approached the woman and engaged her in conversation and asked her for a date and then for her phone number.
During the contact Hussain reached out and touched the shocked woman on the breast and on her vagina over her clothing.
She contacted her boyfriend who alerted the police and after arriving at the area the man took footage of the attacker on his phone for officers to identify him.
Solicitor Victoria Good, defending, said she would reserve her mitigation to the sentencing hearing.
Sheriff Gillian Sharp said: “Given to the nature of the charges I am required to call for a justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment.
“You will be given a date for sentencing and it is essential you cooperate fully with the preparation of the report.”
The sheriff granted Hussain bail and placed him on the sex offenders register on an interim basis.
